I was in a crowded train station and I really had to use the bathroom (#2). I hated to do it but I had no choice. I went in the gross bathroom and began my business. Then some guy kicked open the door, took a picture of me, and said it was going on the internet! Then he said to give him my email and he will give me the link. I thought if I knew where it was I could tell the police the address so I gave him my email address. I didn't want to risk my wife or family or coworkers to see it! He sent me an email that said he changed his mind and wasn't going to post it as long as I gave him a bunch of people I knew's email addresses. He said so he could sell them amway. I figured it would be better that they got a spam email rather then see me on the toilet so I gave him a list. Then he sent EVERYONE on the list the pic of me on the toilet, including my wife and children, my friends and coworkers and my boss. There was also a fake audio clip of gross sound! What can I do? They laugh at me!
Help! There is a picture of me on the toilet on the INTERNET!?
u made me laugh too for your dumb decision.
in the first place, why didn't u locked the cr?
or stole the camera then broke it?

Help! There is a picture of me on the toilet on the INTERNET!?
Get the cops involved. See if they can track this guy down.
Well, you can't do much now, can you?! Why did you give him the addresses and all the rest?! As for them laughing at you, if you can't beat them, join them!
Laughter is the best medicine!
nothing laugh with them at yourself that is what I would do
treat it as a prank and stay cool. get a few laughs and smartarse comments from work mates. So what who cares?
Hey I have a bridge I am selling for only 20 million dollars. Please bring cash.
Well theres nothing much you can do now butId tell someone he cant take a picture of you on the toilet that is allegal do yeah Id do something to get him in trouble and embarresd

How has the Internet broadened your horizons? Has it ever changed your mindset & opened your mind?
Do you express your view on a debate on an internet forum in a way that you'd never dare to in real life?
Beijing, Oct 3 (Xinhua) Website business manger Shao Yibei describes herself as 'a tiny waterdrop in the ocean of Chinese netizens longing to shine'. But she never knew she would shine overnight.
The 26-year-old music lover had a five-minute video clip uploaded on the Internet in February, in which she was singing while playing guitar a self-composed song about an urban single woman's attitude towards marriage.'My friend uploaded the clip just for fun,' said Shao, 'But none of us expected what would happen the next day'.
The response from the virtual world was overwhelming, with more than 300,000 hits during the first couple of days. Shao also received thousands of 'friend requests' on her blog.
Movie producers invited Shao to compose songs even when her first album is getting readied.
'I feel difficult to communicate with others in real life, so music is my way of expression,' said Shao, 'But it's the Internet that makes me 'heard'.'Shao is now best known as folk singer and blogger 'Shao Xiaomao'.
Zhang Jie, a 26-year-old editor in the southwestern municipality of Chongqing, has found surfing indispensable in her daily life since she first had access to Internet 10 years ago.'The Internet does not only bring convenience to my life, but more importantly, it reforms my mindset,' said Zhang. 'The Internet gives me much more than a digital identity, it transforms me into a person with independent thought and open mind.'

How has the Internet broadened your horizons? Has it ever changed your mindset %26amp; opened your mind?
Yeah. It really has.
It's made me realise that it ain't just school kids who bully via the net, it's grown adults too. Funny because people point the finger at my age group and say it's going wrong with my generation yet people twice my age troll %26amp; target others on here. I think problems started a long time ago.
It's made me see some amazing talent %26amp; it's allowed others to access that amazing talent such as the story you've posted. I know a few brilliant local bands who have had success through the internet %26amp; hard work (a lot of gigs which don't pay anything...).
I've seen how the net can bring people together too. Something which I used to doubt when younger.

Internet Website Marketing Ideas?
I own a small internet web maternity clothing shop. www.hautemamacouture.com I get almost no business to it at all. I tried paying for advertising with search engines but I had too small a budget (spent $100 on 4 different engines/month). I also have the same items in a store on eBay. That's where I make 99% of my money. However, with their recent announcements of fee increases, they should just change their name to FeeBay and their changes to the feedback policy that will not allow a seller to leave negative when warranted, I can no longer afford to do business on there. I spend about $500-$1,000 in eBay fees a month but I make about $4,000 a month. How can I shift some of this around to promote my website. I am on a very limited budget and have no idea how to get people to go to this website and buy. Thanks!

Getting traffic is a combination of a lot of things. The key to success is to create great content that visitors want to use, search engines will love and other websites will naturally link to. Of course, it's easier said than done.
You can use pay per click advertising in the search engines to reach audiences looking for your products. You can use Google Adwords http://www.google.com/adwords or Yahoo http://searchmarketing.yahoo.com
Here are some shoestring marketing ideas that can help you get the visitors you need at the least cost possible:
1. Create the best content you can with the best products you can possibly offer. Your content is your best advertisement - if visitors love your content, then they will go back and spread the word to others.
2. Make it easy for users to recommend your site. Viral marketing is very important -- and easy to tap on the Web. But give your users the tools. Get a Recommend this Site script from websites such as cgiscripts.com and similar directories of scripts. Some even go as far as giving incentives to those who recommend the site to their friends. If only 10 people go to your site, but these 10 people invite 10 more - that's additional traffic that you get for FREE!
Recommend Site Scripts (various) http://php.resourceindex.com/Complete_Sc鈥?/a>

CGI Resource Index http://cgi.resourceindex.com/Programs_an鈥?/a>
Hostscripts http://www.hotscripts.com/PHP/Scripts_an鈥?/a>
3. Rank well in the search engines (organic search results, not the pay per click). SEs can be a big source of traffic. The key is to create the best content in your niche. If you have good content, other websites will gladly link to you and offer your site as a resource to their audience. Check the on-page factors and be sure to get linked from authority sites in your topic area.

4. Send out press releases. While outfits charge as much as $650 per release, there are free press release submission places on the Web. Press releases allow you to (a) attract media attention; (b) get more back links to your website without sending each website an email request; and (c) get more visibility especially if your press release gets in Google News or Yahoo News.

You get exposure for your business; establishes you as an authority in your field, and allows you to get backlinks for your website. If 50 websites publish your article and it contains a link back to your website, then you easily get 50 links from a single article. Hi April,
I've done a quick check on your incoming links, there were none. To have a great SEO score link building must be top priority for you. Rather have less quality incoming links than many lower ranked links.
Although not true SEO, a blog is highly recommended to achieve high traffic. A blog is great to build a brand, it may not result in instant sales but it sure will indirectly. Once you've begun a blog you can then submit it to several social bookmarking websites that will increase your traffic even further.
I've compared your site to your competitors and their websites have good keyword density, meta tags (not to important), incoming links. Your goal should be to match these sites and you'll soon be receiving targeted traffic.
If done properly SEO can be managed with a small budget.

Hi - Im a marketing professional who can help you with general marketing, brand, pr and online marketing. Check out my company website to see all the marketing tactics we cover: www.mktg.com.au
All the contact details are on the website, prices are determined on each project. I know you will love what we can do for you.
MKTG Marketing: www.mktg.com.au
I looked at your website and here are my comments:
1. Change your metatag title to %26quot;Haute Mama Couture: Trendy Maternity Wear %26amp; Apparel%26quot; . You need to have the most important keywords on the title -- %26quot;maternity wear%26quot; and %26quot;maternity apparel%26quot;
2. Put an intro paragraph in your homepage. Having an intro paragraph placed above the fold will let people know what your site is all about -- and gives search engines more text to chew on
3. Lose the gigantic picture graphic on your page. Cartoons does nothing to your sales. You need to showcase your products
Look at the Pea in a Pod website http://www.apeainthepod.com -- up front is a gorgeous pregnant woman wearing one of the items for sale. If you can't get a model to put in your page, at least show the clothes immediately. Right now I have to scroll down to see your product offerings
4. Your Promotional Discounts should be right there up front and center. Look at Pea in a Pod -- their $6 shipping is at the very top of the homepage. LL Bean has their promotional discount at the bottom of the homepage -- but it is still in the homepage http://www.llbean.com/
There's two things you need to do:
- get the TARGETED traffic or pregnant women to come visit your site
- make sure that you CONVERT the visitors and turn them into buyers

This website is great for web advertising. It's a free targeted advertising (based on you selecting various categories you would like to be included in) and link exchange network. You put other websites text ads on your page and yours appears on others. And it really is 100% free, forever. While it's not something that guarantees traffic it also doesn't cost anything, so why not try it?
Good luck!
I have a friend who just started a new advertising site.
It offers free advertising for those who want to promote something on the internet.
All you have to do to promote there is to offer something for free, even free advice if you don't have any other free samples.
It is at; http://something4nothing.tripod.com and I will tell him to watch for you, as you have a decent, quality site, very much the kind he wants to add.
Hello April,
I think you should decide your monthly budget you intend to invest in SEO and Internet marketing every month, considering your current financial situation. You should also look at the whole situation as an investment in a new way of service/selling - direct by you, not indirect by eBay. There is no doubt, that your past approach to Internet marketing was not the right one and you should change it fundamentally. It is like to buy a new tool/knowledge for your work. The fact is, that you want to become an independent shop/seller and get rid of eBay.
This 'department' and its skills are far too vast to be described properly, here. You are not an expert in this field and don't bother about that fact, too much.
One needs to be pragmatic, when it comes to solving your problem.
Visit www.elance.com and surf a bit around the site to get more feeling about different services they have on offer, there.
Describe your project/problem and exactly what do you want to achieve. Set a fixed monthly budget on a long term basis (at least 3months, better more) and place a project, there, which is free of charge.
Wait a few days and you are going to get many different offers with exact explanations of what and how to do by many professionals. In your judgment/selecting process you could advise more people, similar as your current Yahoo question, also on-line and free of charge.
As a beginner in the field of Internet marketing (IM), there is nothing better to obtain basic knowledge and understanding of this profession, than Thirty Day Challenge of Ed Dale and Dan Raine, which is happening every August and is free of charge. But, you don't need to wait till August, because everything is so well recorded, condensed and neatly presented on www.thirtydaychallenge.com Just register there and start to explore. Every day you'll know more and more.
Good luck,
adam
P.S.
There is also a real pearl about eBay selling in 30DC, too, absolutely free of charge.
P.P.S.
Do not hesitate to contact me directly, if you need any help considering writing 'a project' to post on elance or anything about 30DC.
Internet Marketing Ideas?
Hi April,
I've done a quick check on your incoming links, there were none.
Internet Marketing Ideas?
Hi - Im a marketing professional who can help you with general marketing, brand, pr and online marketing. Check out my company website to see all the marketing tactics we cover: www.mktg.com.au
All the contact details are on the website, prices are determined on each project. I know you will love what we can do for you.
MKTG Marketing: www.mktg.com.au
I looked at your website and here are my comments:
1. Change your metatag title to %26quot;Haute Mama Couture: Trendy Maternity Wear %26amp; Apparel%26quot; . You need to have the most important keywords on the title -- %26quot;maternity wear%26quot; and %26quot;maternity apparel%26quot;
2. Put an intro paragraph in your homepage. Having an intro paragraph placed above the fold will let people know what your site is all about -- and gives search engines more text to chew on
3. Lose the gigantic picture graphic on your page. Cartoons does nothing to your sales. You need to showcase your products

Small business - cancellation of service rights?
I have just started 5 year contract with bt business. after ten days the service they have provided is horribly affecting my small business as I am getting up to 20 calls asking for the pervious company which owned my new number, fair enough it is not bt fault as i choose the number out of the 5 given choices. BT advise me that the calls will die out in a week or two.
But I found out that the number is advertised all over the internet and I told BT this and they said nothing they can do but change my number. I requested for a number change but bt advised that it would cost 拢30 but I will be unable to choose the new number. I stated that if the same problem was to arise again with the changed number would i be able to get it change again.
BT said yes but with another charge of 拢30. This seems really unfair as they also refuse to give me information of the phone number history. Which I only ask for to avoid getting 20 unwanted calls a day.
I requested for them to cancel the contract which BT replied %26quot;you will have to pay a large fee and 20% of the remaining of contract!%26quot;
I only agreed to five years because the sales person said my business will benifit more on the 5 years rather then the 2 years. I have only used them for 10 days.
Asked to speak with manger and got refused 3 times with lame excuses.
Please advise if there is anyways around this that I can get a number changed as a good will gesture or better even to cancel the bt service as I am not happy at all with BT.
thanks in advance
Small business - cancellation of service rights?
More fool you for getting into a 5 year contract but that aside.
Write to the head of customer services and explain the situation.
It is not their problem as such but if it is causing your business a great deal of trouble then they may waive the charges for changing the number.
It is a risk you run with any supplier, as there are very few numbers which have not been used previously.
If you read your contract you will see that there are clauses in there about early cancellations and they can be very expensive especially on 5 year terms.

Go to the top in BT. We had problems with them a couple of years ago and went to the chairman's office with our complaint. They allocate a named person to deal with your issue and you stick with it until you get it satisfactorily resolved.
Unfortunately, they do charge a penalty for terminating your contract early. Although you may have to pay more initially, it's worth going for a shorter contract. (That's no use to you now.)
If you send me a message I can put you in touch with someone who has done a lot for us with our telephone needs. He's not BT and can advise on ways out of your present situation better than I can.
Good luck!
