Help Please? Modem + BT internet.?

Hey all, well my internet is going/already to be upgraded soon.

However, it says in this email I got off them ' please activate the modem at the set Date'. ( they sent us a new modem which arrived the same day as the email)



The thing is, we don't know the date. the only indication is an email we got on the 24th of march stating some changes would occur on the 23 of april. Also, i tried setting up the modem on my vista computer ( its the business hub modem) but when i put the disc in it tells me to press continue, i do, and then nothing happens.

has anyone got any advice on how to set the modem up? ( i followed the instructions but it's not working), or is it just the modem wont work untill the date the internet is updated?

also, how can i find out when the internet will be upgraded? i know i could phone them up, but is there an easier way?

I think this means that it is ok to use the new modem after the date new contract, wait til the 23rd then install, its only 6 days to wait and you've still got the internet available now. I myself have just re-newed my contract however i didnt get a new hub, just the phone!



Hope this helps, or alternatively, try visiting your account details through BTyahoo homepage, and there may be some info there on the installation or upgrade date.

Well it's only the 17th!
Firstly, don't use the disc it's a waste of space. Plug the HomeHub in with the Ethernet cable instead of USB. Not only will the network connection be faster, Windows will just pick it up as a new network instead of having to install USB drivers. 23rd of April is likely to be when your service changes to BT. So on this date, you'll probably find you lose your internet connection and it won't connect anymore. This is when you should plug in your BT HomeHub and the hub will then connect to the new BT service and you'll be back online.
