One of your classmates from a previous HUM432 class wrote on a reaction paper that he/she felt distraught by the fact that Yahoo didn’t send him/her an email message about changing privacy options on Yahoo. He/She found interesting that Yahoo gave itself permission to broadcast their user’s private information to other businesses without permission. He/she noted, “I thought we were living in the US, with a democracy, not under some Internet dictatorship.” Write some of your reactions to Yahoo’s decision and to two other privacy issues that technology presents us with in the 21st century. You may draw examples from the news, or your fellow students’ homework papers.
