Big Brother is watching. But how did this happen?

I am a night auditor at a major hotel chain and some nights I have a lot of free time on my hands. So I use their internet to browse around, come here, and check email. I know big brother is watching and you shouldn't use business internet for personal use, but I went in to check my email and I was unable to log into Yahoo under my login. I checked to see if there was a problem and logged into another email account and was able to do so without incident. Just curous, is there something out there that can disable me to login to Yahoo? I had to completely change my password in order to get in. Looking for answers before it will be impossible for me to do so. And yes, I plan to cease my internet use before I find myself in trouble.
Big Brother is watching. But how did this happen?
the internet administrator has the the right to block sites that you uise, so yes its very possible they blocked it, and you are very right, you should not get caught because it could cost you your job your best bet is to ask then before hand if its ok, they can say no more than yes or no,,

Good Luck

The USA,Land of the free....are we really? Between cell phones, security cams, street cams, xtra enforcement at airports, train stations, we are very far from free!!!
Well,, at some places, they block sites and restrict logins, to safeguard the use of system. No serious matter.
You should save it for home use.

  • Virtual office call centre from home?can you help me ?

    Hi,

I and my wife want to create a home based business where we can offer to other businesses a virtual office and call centre. Basically we want to redirect calls, a person call our main number 08... And then they will be asked to dial the extension number or to listen to the options like: for company...press1, for ...press 2.....

After press the right ext. the call will be redirected to the right business...

So also we want to forward the letters that each business receives to the right businesses.

We also will be creating and managing websites to other businesses.

So we spoke with BT, and they told us that they can change our home line, and internet connection to a business one, that we can get a 08...number, etc.

That we can have up to 10 domains, etc.

All I want to know is which are the best equipments for our call centre, prices of equipments?

What鈥榮 happening when we use up the 10 domains? How much more do we need to pay for each? With the domains can we managed well each site, put the adverts that we want to put and charge for money, etc?

If you know about this kind of business, please let me know the best companies to use, best equipments and pcs, etc

    Thanks

Can anyone help me change my race?

I totally wish that I wasn't black. It seems like Asian and White men always get ahead in school, life, business etc. I'm internet dating and it seems like most women want to be in a relationship with a %26quot;white guy%26quot;. Most of the women that I'm attracted always seem to want a %26quot;white guy%26quot;. The girls that I attract are fat, dark and ugly. I HATE BEING BLACK.
Can anyone help me change my race?
Be proud of who you are!

you will find a girl who loves you for who you are

there are things people do to change their appearance but it is very risky and you will still be the same person no matter what so be proud of who you are
Can anyone help me change my race?
Um, Antonio you can't change your race dear. And I'm pretty sure there are plenty of women will go out with you, internet dating isn't all that anyways and it's not even 'serious'.
FIRST: With Homo sapiens, which is what we are, there is only one race. The idea of race is not valid as a scientific term when dealing with the Homo sapiens species. The concept of race means that the two species cannot interbred. that is not the case with any humans on Earth.

Second, While I am white and have a preference for other white women that is by far from the case of my fellow white men. I have seen many humans of different melanin color with others of a much more diverse skin color. It is nothing but a personal preference. To me it is like a favorite sports team or a music preference. It doesn't mean the others or wrong just not what I like.

I would work on your self image, maybe working out and being more outgoing. Believe me if you are not comfortable being black, you will not be any more happy being white. That is after the novelty wears off.

Finally, if you make a lot of money that seems to be women's favorite color, green.

Could the people rule by voting in the policies that we want right here on Yahoo Answers?

We are the people of the world and we should have a say in what goes on in this world in which we live. We have seen how governments protect the rights of big business to prosper. We have seen how they have created wars we they thought weapons of mass destruction existed when they didn't. Who knows better them or us? We are the people, we should rule. Have we not seen how they influence the vote? Have we not seen how they create agents who work for them then turn bad? Have we not seen how they attempt to kill other leaders who don't do as they say? We are the people, the internet has given us the power to influence how the world works. We can now make the rules by what WE say and not how they say we say. We are the people and WE can now determine how this world should be run instead of some bongo in North Korea, who was never the people's choice. The world is changing and now we are open for nominations for President of the world. Who do you nominated to rule?
Could the people rule by voting in the policies that we want right here on Yahoo Answers?
Have you heard %26quot;Hannity On The Street%26quot; or watched %26quot;Jay (Leno) Walking%26quot; lately? Too many of %26quot;the people%26quot; lack a basic knowledge of who is even in office now. These ignoramuses should not be voting in elections much less %26quot;on-line%26quot; to decide policies, the details and implications of which they really have no concept. Lord help us if they are put in charge of deciding the fate of the free world. Oh well, they did vote Democrat last week so point made.
Could the people rule by voting in the policies that we want right here on Yahoo Answers?
I thought the full moon had passed!
this country has become an outright aristocracy and those in power will never voluntarily let go of thier control
You!!!!!! I would vote for you. Lets dress up and put on a show for the media because they are the one's that own the peoples brains!!!!!!!! We can even tell the people what they are thinking! I tell you but I warn you it is top secret so do not give it out or might be forced to...All we have to is tell them 3 out of 4 American approve of Paul I!!!!!
Only if you can get some federal judges to rewrite the constitution some more.
    everyone :)

    as you said : %26quot;We can now make the rules by what WE say and not how they say we say%26quot;
Gov by misadventure rivaled by gov by relevant opinion would be interesting.
    Bad idea.

How do I put a positive spin on this, from a business perspective?

I have an internet service where I offer a free website and unlimited audio hosting as a perk for signing up. However, I realized too late that offering a free website with unlimited audio hosting is not the best choice economically, as when storage space for the audio goes up, the money needed to maintain the space also goes up. Some people have been customers for up to 3 years, some for a year or less.

So, my question is, how do I let members know of price changes without them going into fits of rage about it?

Even better, how do I put a positive spin in this so I end up looking good instead of bad, both to the customer and to my employer?

    Thank you!
How do I put a positive spin on this, from a business perspective?
it was free wasn't it? what are they going to do if you require a payment...leave? So what, you're not getting money from them anyway. No loss on your part.

Simply tell them that due to the explosive growth of your service and the rising costs associated with maintaining the existing high quality of your system, that you will no longer be able to offer free websites with unlimited audio hosting. Maybe give existing customers a one-time price discount offer. Let them know that as of X date (something like within 60 days), your service will no longer be free.
How do I put a positive spin on this, from a business perspective?
Take the blame. Come clean about how you under-estimated costs and how it would be unsustainable to continue in this manner. Show numbers if possible. Stress the good service you had provided for the past few years FOC without imposing any obligations on members. Apologize and ask for understanding.

Jehovah's Witnesses is it not sad and funny the Pope does not realize what he is doing giving teeth to the U.N?

The world does not know what the Pope is doing but we sure do, do we not? He give their own enemy their teeth! And over money problems, %26quot;Benedict XVI said the blind pursuit of profit and economic mismanagement had %26quot;wreaked havoc%26quot; on the global economy.%26quot; Talking about blind pursuit! The blind leading the blind and no one knows in truth what we mean by that! It is sad but people have made a personal choice not to know, have they not? So when the U.N. does its thing only we will know what is going on. We have been trying all these years to get people to hear but their religious leaders tell them not to. Do you have mixed feelings like Jesus did here at Matthew 23:37-39 “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the killer of the prophets and stoner of those sent forth to her,—how often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks together under her wings! But YOU people did not want it. Look! YOUR house is abandoned to YOU. For I say to YOU, YOU will by no means see me from henceforth until YOU say, ‘Blessed is he that comes in Jehovah’s name!’”%26quot; How often we wanted to help but people just do not want us who come in Jehovah's name to help! My heart is sick but we cannot force people to hear and make needed change! We can only go to the people and hope they will hear! I know we will get a lot of hate here but if they know not Jehovah, that is ALL they have to give out! But it likely will not be long before they see the big goof the Pope made. What do you think brothers and sisters? Is the proof too big to ignore? Change is near?

Pope calls for a UN 'with teeth'

    The Pope has called for reform of the United Nations and financial bodies, giving them the %26quot;real teeth%26quot; needed to tackle economic and social injustice.%26quot;

Added: The Pope's Church Charitable organizations and fundraisers can really help if you see it as a taxable money making machine putting on a show of being a religion and any others just like it! Robertson etc. too!

Benedict XVI said the blind pursuit of profit and economic mismanagement had %26quot;wreaked havoc%26quot; on the global economy.

The market, said the Pope, must not become the place where the strong prevail over the weak.

His encyclical letter said a reformed UN should strive for disarmament, food security and environmental protection.

An encyclical letter is the highest form of papal teaching, says the BBC's David Willey in Rome. It is the Pope's first encyclical on social issues

%26quot;Bloody Mary's Martyrs: The Story of England's Terror%26quot; Book by Jasper Ridley

%26quot;Mary, the daughter of Henry VIII, was crowned queen in 1553. Always sickly, she died in 1558, but her short reign was entirely devoted to restoring Catholicism to England by whatever means were necessary. Her brutal methods earned her the name she has carried ever since, %26quot;Bloody Mary%26quot;. This is the story of her persecution of men such as Ridley and Thomas Cranmer, Archbishop of Canterbury, both of whom were burned at the stake, as were some 300 others who refused to renounce their Protestantism and accept Papal supremacy once more.%26quot; I saw the book in the library but did not read it but did see first chapter is called %26quot;The Persecuting Church%26quot; We know from history that was not the only time that church did persecuting in a very not Christian way. Paul did persecuting until he became a true Christian than he was persecuted but never there after did any persecuting to anyone. Jehovah's people never persecuate anyone but others do them around the world without good cause ever!

Has the Pope signed a death warrant for all religions mixing in national business and getting rich?
Its a matter of time before the governments takes action on false religion.

Very, very soon my true brothers and sisters.
Has the Pope signed a death warrant for all religions mixing in national business and getting rich?
Is this a question or a rant?

This came from The Watchtower huh?

    Whatever.
Was there a question here? I couldn't find it in all the ranting and propaganda.
    No.

The Church is primarily a spiritual body but she is also a moral teacher.

If people are going to make moral issues into political ones then they should not complain when the Church uses her freedoms of speech and religion.

The Church looks to protect human dignity and human rights and does not for look for political power. Church leaders are barred from political office by Church law, not civil law (Canon 285.3).

Jesus said, %26quot;Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.%26quot; (Matthew 28:18-20)

The Catholic Church has been teaching world governments what she believes God has revealed is right and wrong since the ancient Romans stopped persecuting her and long before anyone heard of the freedom of speech.

The Catholic Church protested about the blood sports in the Roman Colosseum and they were stopped.

The Catholic Church supported the Polish Solidarity movement and the Soviet Union fell apart.

I don't think the Church is going to (or should) stop teaching the world governments what is right or wrong now.

Remember the Catholic Church proposes. She does not impose.

    With love in Christ.
Will Babylon be out of business soon? All it needs is the leaders to note her money and go after it! Eat her fleshly parts! [Belongings!] The Pope wants the money problem fixed and she has the money! And she now give the beast its teeth! She has been teaching Pagan lies for many years so that needs to stop! %26quot;Should strive for disarmament%26quot; the Pope said. Who will start the Peace %26amp; Security cry? The governments or religion or both together? Yet to be seen! Who is the king of the north? Yet to be seen! What else is yet to be seen? Keep watching!

Im a Catholic two said above, %26quot;Jesus said, %26quot;Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.%26quot; (Matthew 28:18-20)%26quot; And that is true but Jesus did not do that by mixing in government business but by going to the people at their own homes. Only one faith doing that way and they do come in the name of Jehovah like Jesus said to do above in Matthew.
What Expose Truth said I say too!
    USA TODAY opinion 2007

Note Im a Catholic two please and others too,

Politics isn't a part of it

    http://blogs.usatoday.com/oped/2007/05/o…

The second time I broke my mom's heart was when I told her I am gay. Jehovah's Witnesses are social conservatives. Members can't be actively gay and can't get an abortion; women can't serve as religious leaders. These positions are not unique to this religion, of course. Just ask any gay kid how easy it was to come out to his Evangelical Christian, Roman Catholic or Mormon family. Yet Jehovah's Witnesses don't try to force their beliefs on others through politics. They would never protest an abortion clinic, bankroll a campaign against gay marriage or vote to restrict what they view as %26quot;sins.%26quot; They believe that Jesus commanded Christians to stay out of politics and all war, including culture wars.

Jehovah's Witnesses do use the courts, however, to protect their Christian way of life. They choose to live within certain self-imposed boundaries, which include shunning members who reject the agreed-upon standards. But they also recognize and accept the fact that outside groups will benefit from their legal victories. Imagine if all religions had enough confidence in their faith that someone else's definition of marriage, life or morality posed no threat to their own.

So am I offended because my mom still distributes The Watchtower magazines, which include articles calling homosexuality a sin? If we want an open and free marketplace of ideas, many messages we don't like will compete for our attention. That's OK as long as no one is forced to listen or comply. Once you've said, %26quot;No, thanks%26quot; and closed the door, Jehovah's Witnesses will leave you in peace (at least until their next visit).
My Profile says, I am a Jehovah's Witnesses and all other faiths as Babylon the Great of Revelation which will go down when the United Nations and governments of the world notice she is doing nothing for mankind but take their money and cause wars by their mixing in government business. JW's come to your door but do not set laws forcing you to have to do things their way like other religions do. First Christians did not mix in human government or war so we follow that same way too as a right example to follow. We do not go a long with the Pagan teachings others follow like the Trinity, Christmas etc. But do not stop others who want to follow the Pagan way. But let people know there will be an end to that kind of religion in our day. Revelation 18:4 tell people to GOT OUT of that kind of religion before it is too late. But most will not hear us and the Bible tells us that will be the way it will come to be because of free will choice Jehovah give us all, and most like it as it is and will not change. SAD
I am excited that her fall is already started
Has the Pope signed a death warrant for all religions mixing in national business and getting rich? Yes the Pope did and he and other clergy get rich from teaching Babylon the Great Pagan teachings and the United Nations now that the Pope give it teeth and that is where they will go to FIND the money they need within this global economic crisis like Sherry said. They believe their safe with the U.N. like the Jews believed they were with Roman but like the Jews they are seriously not right about that. Keep on the watch!

Colorado Internet Retail Tax Bill HB 10 1193 - How will this affect my eBay store?

I live in Colorado and have an eBay store. What changes do I need to make (if any) to comply with this new regulation? Do I have to collect taxes on ALL my sales because I'm doing business in Colorado or just on the transactions within the state?

I do not have a business license and do not currently collect any taxes, my gross sales are currently less than $200 per month (things have been slow so $200 is on the EXTREME side.)

How does this affect me now and how will it affect me if I obtain a license in the future?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated - Thank You!
Colorado Internet Retail Tax Bill HB 10 1193 - How will this affect my eBay store?
Unless you are getting an income stream via affiliate marketing with an out-of-state partner such as Amazon.com it won't directly affect you.

The bill, as I interpret it, would make %26quot;click-through%26quot; sales by an out-of-state seller to a CO resident taxable through that seller. Essentially it's trying to establish a CO nexus through the clickable link on your web page.

The principal impact on CO retailers who depend upon this click-stream revenue is that some of the bullies in the market (Amazon for example) have been threatening to cancel their marketing partnerships if the bill becomes law. They have done so in a couple of states with similar laws (Rhode Island and North Carolina) and are trying to whip FUD among CO retailers that they face the same loss of revenue if the bill becomes law.

Several things remain to be settled in the courts. The first of course is whether a link on a web page (particularly one hosted outside of the state) can establish a nexus for sales tax purposes. This will probably wind up in the Supreme Court eventually. Another is the wording of the marketing contracts that allows the partner (Amazon) to cancel the click-stream contract because of a change in state law that makes a previously non-taxable sale subject to CO sales taxes. My gut tells me that that will wind up as a tangle class action suits that make attorneys rich but won't return much to the beneficiaries of the lost revenue streams.

    Review my business idea?

Alright, I live in a large city. As far as I have seen, this kind of thing does not exist. Basically, I'm thinking of starting a %26quot;Gaming StarBucks%26quot;. That's the general concept.

People will pay a small charge at the door, such as $10 - $20 for unlimited day's access to our place. It will be a HUGE center. There will be a room for every one of these, except replaced with the latest consoles. All rooms will have four 25%26quot; HDTVs, equipped with four consoles. Each console will have 4 remotes. Rooms can be booked for parties and what not for around $300.

    Xbox360

    Nintendo Wii

    Playstation 3

Those are the consoles. Games will be changed by asking a monitor who will change the game in the console. The important thing is the staff will be very friendly and social. Also, people can buy food and just hang out with other gamers. The place will be hooked up with the fastest internet possible (even more then one connection if needed).

Also, tournaments and events will be held often. This is all
    Review my business idea?
I think it is a good idea because people need something to do that does not involve going to a bar and nobody ever does anything if you think about it. Only problem I see is dollars per square foot. You want to think of ways to build off of it... will you sell food? Or you could sell or rent games... rent it out for events.
    Review my business idea?
Get a book on doing business plans, as you need a lot more information. A major one would be how much is rent per square foot, and how would you locate your place where you would get sufficient foot traffic?

Also, can't use Starbucks in any form. You idea has merit, but it needs MUCH more fleshing out before you can decide if it has commercial value.

now the difficult part, i got another interview call for a job as internet business analyst and already went through 2nd interview. and this company said they will decide by the end of this month...

now i am in difficult position . as i am fed up with my security job , and i have to start UPS and if i got the the other job which pays more. what should i do.. join UPS or wait ???
    Question about job change ???
I always wanted to work for UPS, but my friend who worked there for a while said benefits and everything only look good, but once you start working for them, they don't care for you as much as u would think. But don't take my word for it, you decide what ever you think is better. And I think you know what you should do.

  • How can I get my e-mail address off of the spammers lists????

Okay, I admit I was naive enough to open an unsolicited e-mail from a known company (Thought it had to do with a job search) and BOOM, I am getting junk mail galore. It seems that even certain job boards will allow some junk to be mailed to you. Can't say I am saavy about using the internet and e-mail yet but I am learning the hard way. I really don't want to change my e-mail account name at this time because I have alot of friends, co-workers and business contacts that e-mail me. Someone said not to even use the %26quot;Unsubscribe%26quot; button. If I just delete them for awhile, will the junk mail slow to a trickle or hopefully, stop?????

I already have my Spam Guard on. This junk is going to my bulk folder but I also get other bulk items, so it is time consuming to go through each day and sort the good from the bad. Anyone have any SERIOUS helpful advice?
How can I get my e-mail address off of the spammers lists????
Get a Gmail (Google's e-mail) account and have your current e-mail address forwarded to your Gmail account. Gmail's spam filters are extremely effective. I end up with very little spam in my inbox, and can always check the spam folder to make sure nothing got sent there by mistake. PM me and I can send you a Gmail invitiation if you'd like.
How can I get my e-mail address off of the spammers lists????
I guess Gmail has changed their signup system. An invitation used to be required to sign up, but it looks like anyone can sign up now. I hope it works as well for you as it has for me!

    Is Comcast 'false advertising' ?

I keep getting promotional letters sent to my business by Comcast. I want to change my internet service provider and add cable tv to my business so i decided to give them a call. turns out they don't even have service on my side of the street. How weak is that?!! I wanted high speed and now I can't get it. ;-( can they be sued for that?? just wonderin'... thanks for reading.
    Is Comcast 'false advertising' ?
You could certainly file a lawsuit, but it would be an expensive way to make a judge laugh.
    Is Comcast 'false advertising' ?
Comcast sucks. But they can't be sued for that.
You are within your rights to file a lawsuit -- if you have the time, energy and money to pursue it

Whether you will win, though, is a different matter. Especially if they have your concern covered in the fine print

Is 'Please advise' grammatically correct, or is it 'Please advice'?

I've always used 'Please advise' in business communications, and I've noticed recently that MS Office products mark it as grammatically incorrect. The suggested change is from advise to advice.

'Please advice' just doesn't sound right to me. I've done some internet research, but couldn't seem to find a definitive answer...

    Thanks in advance :)
Is 'Please advise' grammatically correct, or is it 'Please advice'?
think of it this way....an advisor is someone who gives advice. Advise is the verb, that is the act that you are requesting....%26quot;Please advise me%26quot;. Advice is the noun, that information that is given. You're doing it right, screw MS Office, that was created by computer geeks, not English majors.
Is 'Please advise' grammatically correct, or is it 'Please advice'?
%26quot;Please advise%26quot; may not be grammatically correct per se, but it is such a widely used and well known phrase in business and other areas that it is acceptable.

What's the best way to advertise?

Are times changing? Seems it gets harder and harder to get yourself found on the internet and I can't help but wonder if the tides are turning again. Even with web 2.0 marketing which might be the latest craze, it's not going to work for someone who's never owned their own business before and never marketed online before.

What is your opinion on the best way to be found, online or offline? Or both? And why
What's the best way to advertise?
The best way to be found on line or off line, first and this is the most important...know your targeted market.

Not only who they are, but understand them and what motivates them.

    Many time while working with clients, I will ask who they think their potential customers are and the response commonly heard is %26quot;everyone%26quot;

Once that is achieved, choose a marketing strategy that will arrive at your objectives and then stick to it, fine tuning it and making it work for you.

The problem with most marketing campaigns is they are not totally focused and spread their efforts to thin, quickly become disoriented.

My advice, know where you are heading, pick a road and stay on it. Enjoy the journey

The following article will prove helpful to you in streamlining your SEO metatags in order to attract more Net traffic by higher search engine placement.

The most effective way to advertise on the Internet is

to first set up a website and publish its domain name

on major search directories such as Google.com,

    Yahoo.com [at http://www.google.com/addurl/?...... and

MSN.com since 85% of Internet shoppers rely on these

search directories to provide them with goods and

services. In a sense, these search directories are a

    very large Internet Yellow Pages.

Nevertheless, should your website or opening webpage

fail to contain %26quot;generic%26quot; keywords, then anyone using

such %26quot;generic%26quot; queries will not be able to discover

your website. Your domain name [URL] of your website,

in a sense, will be invisible, undiscoverable.

You may want to consider some simple algorithms which,

when observed and committed in designing of a website

with placement of various critical metatags that can

surely achieve a high search engine presence and

increase Internet traffic to your website. These

metatag strategies work well with published webpages

    at Google and Yahoo.

Design: Should you create an extensive Flash-based

website, make sure to fill-in the property entries

such as the Title, Description and Keywords. Failing

to do so, leaves no hard HTML or ALT resource that can

be readily indexed by search robots. Also consider the

Internet audience and their incoming setup. For

example, if they are on analog/dialup, Flash webpages

take too long to load up and therefore analog users

will likely lose interest and discontinue entering the

Flash site. On the other hand, anyone on hi-speed DSL

lines, will welcome Flash pages which load quickly. So

before designing a pure Flash websitge, ask the simple

question, %26quot;Who's my end user - is he on dialup or

DSL?%26quot; And if you had to choose between these two users

for maximum marketability, then select analog users

since 80% of most resident users are still analog

Internet subscribers and pure HTML designed webpages

    is best for them.

A non-Flash-based website which relies on hard text,

is far easier to be indexed by search robots. Limit

the use of stylized text saved as .gifs since as a

graphic, they are not indexable by search robots.

Avoid use of frames since any number of search robots

are unable to properly classify textual material.

    Placement of Metatags:

A ranking or search order does take place with Google

and Yahoo and it begins with the %26quot;Title%26quot; metag which

should consist of no more than 60 characters separated

by commas. The %26quot;Title%26quot; should describe in generic terms, the goods and services, followed by a location from which the resource is located, i.e., city, state. The placement of a domain name which is not generic within the %26quot;Title%26quot; is not appropriate, unless your

domain name is a major recognizable brand name.

The second metatag is the %26quot;Description%26quot; which is

usually up to 41 words to form a complete paragraph which

best describes one's goods and services. It is not merely a list.

And the very last category - %26quot;Keywords%26quot; are also

somewhat limited to 15 words which can be plural

and compound in nature. Again, avoid multiple entries

which could be mistaken as %26quot;spamdexed entries%26quot; which

is defined as the loading, and submission of

repetitive words into a particular metatag category.

%26quot;Spamdexing%26quot; when discovered on a webpage and reported

to Google's spamreport.com can result in the

elimination of your website from their search

    directory.

Here's an example of a very highly-placed website on

Google.com: Begin with the very %26quot;generic%26quot; search query

%26quot;sandwiches downtown los angeles,%26quot; taking note to not

abbreviate Los Angeles to %26quot;LA%26quot; and of course, leave

out the parentheses (%26quot;). It will bring up some 2.4

    million+ search results. Check out where %26quot;Nazos.net%26quot;

is ranked. It's on the SECOND FRONT [ranked 15]!

Again, Nazos.net's high web presence was achieved by

proper web design and placement of relevant metatags

    according to Google's publication guidelines.

    Good luck!
more companies are using direct mail to guid traffic to web sites. The reason is it is the best way to communicate directly to the most qualified buyer of your product.

Direct Mail has less than a 2% response rate when done poorly. It can have 6-15% easily, when its done correctly.

so do your homework on creating efffective direct mail before hand.

Keep in mind, that each and every response you get, now becomes a lifetime customerif you take care of them....in that light...how much money is even one response worth to you?

yeah..alot! ..thats why more and more people are doing direct mail

This is an Economy question about changes in the airline industry.?

    Turmoil in the Airline Industry

Even before the September 11 terrorist attacks, the major airlines were flying into stiff head winds. Slim to nonexistent profits, bankruptcies and buckets of red ink, poor service, late arrivals, overexpansion, frequent air-traffic control breakdowns, some of the worst labor-management relations in business, high fuel costs, a full-blown economic downturn, and the collapse of business travel had cast this industry into one of the worst periods in aviation history.

    Road Warriors Get Smart

For years, the major airlines had succeeded in getting business travelers (road warriors) to pay premium fares by pampering them with special business-class seats and other perks. Business travel was their lifeblood. Sales of unrestricted fares and last-minute tickets generated about two to three times as much as economy fares and contributed about 70 percent of a major airline?s revenue. But with corporate profits hitting the skids in late 2000, companies put the brakes on travel spending.

The corporate exodus hit the major airlines hard. Resourceful business travelers used substitute products such as videoconferencing or other transportation modes ? even if it meant putting up with inconveniences ? to reduce travel expenses. Some turned to the Internet to find cheaper airfares. Others moved their business downstream to discount airlines such as Southwest and Jet Blue. Major airlines tried to raise round-trip leisure tickets to make up for their lost business revenues, but fierce competition from discounters prevented them from doing so.

    Air Travel is ?Wal-Marted?

Just as Wal-Mart did in retailing, the discounters of the air such as Southwest and Jet Blue are squeezing the major airlines from all ends. Low-cost carriers now account for nearly 20 percent of the U.S. domestic air capacity, up from 6 percent in the early 1990?s. They can afford to sell travel tickets for less because they have many cost advantages over full-service rivals. To begin with, they have younger fleets, which require less maintenance, and younger labor forces that aren?t tied to complicated, inefficient labor contracts. Moreover, low-fare carriers typically fly one airplane model, thus minimizing maintenance, operating, and training costs. By contrast, big carriers typically fly six or seven types of aircraft. And unlike the big guys, the discount airlines don?t operate expensive hub-and-spoke systems.

Caught Between a Hub and a Hard Place

Using a hub-and-spoke route system, major airlines scoop up traffic from smaller cities (the spokes) and funnel it through a few gathering points (the hub). This practice allows airlines to serve small markets and offer passengers more destinations and more frequent flights. But is also presents a logistical nightmare. It forces major airlines to schedule lots of flights to arrive and depart within narrow windows of time in order to minimize passenger layover times. This means that ground crews, such as gate attendants and baggage handlers, often sit idle between waves of connecting flights. By Contrast, point-to-point carriers, such as Southwest and Jet Blue, schedule flights as if passengers are moving to their final destinations. Instead of having planes and crews sit around and wait for passengers, point-to-point carriers maintain fast-paced schedules, which means minimal downtime for aircraft and fewer personnel on the ground.

Turbulent Skies for the Bid Carriers

Today, one in four tickets sold is on a discount airline. As pressure from low-fare carriers mounts, major airlines are reevaluating every aspect of their operations. The major carriers are undergoing radical change just to stay in business. They are experimenting with changes in costs, capacity, pricing, and product features in ways they haven?t seriously contemplated since the industry was deregulated in 1978. They are stripping billions of dollars from their operations by revamping their hub system, cutting jobs, eliminating flights, ending food service, and removing first-class seats, and by simplifying their fleets to cut training and maintenance costs, Some are replacing agents with self-service kiosks. Others are wrangling concessions from unions for huge pay cuts to reduce labor costs ? a major differentiating factor when you consider that in 2002 a United Airlines captain earned $9,000 to $11,000 more a month than a Jet Blue captain. Still others, such as U.S. Airways and United Airlines have filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection to reorganize their outstanding debt and lower their operating costs.

In spite of their efforts, questions loom as to whether all the major airlines can survive. Even with huge cost cuts, all airlines remain susceptible to possible terrorist attacks, economic turns, or employee unrest. As experts claim that this is just the beginning of an industry-wide shakedown. After all, no airline can fly forever losing billions of dollars.

Been hacked by phycho X of my new wife?
Use a good software firewall (NOT the windows one), and a hardware router with buil-in firewall.

It is not a good idea to use easily guessed passwords.. You should use the Yahoo search function and do a search for a free random password generator, and use a 20 character password *(including/with special characters) and change it once a month, Be sure to keep the generated passwords backed up on removeable media, in case you lose them off the harddrive due to a crash, Also it wouldn't hurt to password protect the password folder.
Been hacked by phycho X of my new wife?
Check your computer! You may have spyware software on your machine that will cause someone to get your password every-time you change it! I would wipe the machine clean and make sure NO ONE had access to the passwords. Also, get your self a high speed Internet Security program.. Trend Micro or Kaprosky would be my recommendations

If MJ truly is a teacher, which I doubt, and teaches any subject that requires application of the rules of grammar, one can only hope she has not been granted tenure and her writing ability is reviewed and is part of the criteria upon which continued employment will rely. If my children attended a school in which she was employed, and if my complaints to the school board and administration went unheeded, I would withdraw them and enroll them in private schools or I would home teach them. Someone save us from such incompetence. I'll leave the ethical issues out of it for now.

Printed catalogues quickly go out of date. The internet can be updated immediately, giving customers access to the latest products and promotions. It can also inform potential customers about sale-related information such as stock availability and delivery charges.

    Product reviews

Many independent websites offer product reviews by customers who have already purchased a specific item. The main advantage of these websites is that potential customers can read unbiased opinions before purchasing an item.

    Advice

Many websites offer useful advice and information to potential customers. Websites such as Wikipedia, chat rooms, and forums allow people to discuss and share their knowledge and experience.

    Comparison

The Internet provides many options to allow potential customers to easily compare products and prices before making a purchase, giving them much greater purchasing power.

    Dynamic pricing

Online businesses can adjust prices dynamically, according to market conditions and customer demand. The airline industry and hotels are two industries in which dynamic pricing can help customers to save money. For example, when few hotel rooms are booked in a particular period, the higher availability drives prices down. This can trigger increased customer interest due to lower prices. When fewer rooms are available the prices increase.

    Responsive transactions

    The Internet gives customers the ability to conduct immediate transactions and provides them with instant satisfaction when purchasing an item online. For example, on eBay, customers bid on auctioned items in real-time and have the satisfaction of feeling that they “won” the auction when they buy something online.%26quot;
    %26quot;Detailed product information

The internet provides much more detail then other sources. It can provide details of: price, colour, choice, description of features and specifications, technical advice and promotional deals. You are also able to see high quality pictures of the products which you can rotate as well as zoom in and out of. In addition, companies can now use images, sound and video to present their products.

The Internet can provide information about the company to other businesses and potential investors. Websites can also be used to explain the target market of a particular business; which sector it operates in, and its product range, futures planes etc.

    Customer Services

Most online stores provide very good customer service. The main advantages of this are:

? Websites are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week

? The FAQ (Frequently ask questions) section provides support

    ? Online complaint forms

? Various options for customers like contact forms etc.

These all help to give online customers a better level of service and allow requests or comments to be made at any time!

    Online stores are available 24/7

The business can be open 24 hours a day and seven days a week. This allows it to take orders, make appointments, take customers' queries and make sales. Online websites never close so this means customers can visit the shop at any time and purchase goods.

It enhances communication with customers, suppliers and other businesses by being more efficient and effective, and gives ability to provide quick information and reliable advice before and after sales.

    The Internet is always up-to-date

Catalogues quickly go out of date. The internet can be updated immediately giving customers choice of the latest products and promotions. It also informs potential customers about stock availability, delivery charges etc.

    Product reviews

There are many independent websites which offer product reviews directly from customers who have already purchased the item. The main advantage of it is that potential customers are able to read peoples' opinions before purchase which in turn enable them to make more informed decisions about purchases.

    Advice

On the Internet there are a lot of websites which offer useful advice and information to potential customers e.g. wikipedia, chat rooms and forums where people discuss certain topics and share their knowledge and expedience.

    Comparing

On the internet there are a lot of discussion groups and chat rooms. Potential customers are able to compare and talk about specific products prior to purchase. Customers can easily compare and contrast the prices between potential vendors. This gives the customers greater buyer power.

    Dynamic pricing

It is the dynamic adjustment of prices according to market conditions and customers demand. This means that customers can benefit from prices because they are kept up to date with changes. The airline industry and hotels are two examples where customers can save due to dynamic pricing. For example, when few hotel rooms have been booked the availability is in turn very good and prices can be relatively cheap. However, when fewer rooms are available, prices may well increase.

    Responsive transactions

    The Internet gives the chance to conduct immediate transactions thus providing instant customer satisfaction.One good example of it is ebay where people can bid in real time on auctions. It gives customers the satisfaction of knowing that they have won the auction and bought something online.%26quot;

Classes of hierarchical belief and Internet criticality?

    Crazy question.

    assumptions = %26quot;age of accelerating communications%26quot; + %26quot;increasing abstractetness of objective reality modeling%26quot; + %26quot;continuous exploration and find of isomorphisms between organized sets of ideas%26quot;

    it seems one would conclude

    d/dt( consequences \impliedby assumptions) goes to +\infinity.

is this safe for our kids to grow into? How do we go about our individual business, try to see a bit of positive change in our actions, without inflicting in the human universe a quantum logical gate transition to sudden explosive criticality the potential for which continuous technological development is lowering?

And how do we try positive change without incurring in the stone-walling passive aggressive conclusion one might extract from the fear expressed in the previous paragraph?

Have a go at this, if you feel like it. It will be appreciated. Thanks.
Classes of hierarchical belief and Internet criticality?
    - Your premise is flawed. It would take far to long to explain why, except to demonstrate the flaws through current application. Your formula, if correct, would discount the contrary conclusions encountered through 5000 years of societal progression. Nothing in your formula limits it's application to temporal exclusion, and therefore implies that stone-walled passive aggressive conclusions would have been drawn in even more critical historic periods of human development, most notably in Italian and Bavarian societies during the mid-1500s. Yet it did not occur, because your premise failed to address variables in human transition from agrarian to industrial philosophies.

My Internet Explorer doesn't work anymore.?

Mozilla Firefox just uploaded some updates. Now my IE and Mozilla both will not work. My Netscape browser works fine and I have good ping from the command prompt. The connection settings on all 3 browsers are the same. My business software even works. Can anyone tell me how to resolve this? Mozilla is my browser of choice, but that may change if this can't be resolved rather quickly.
My Internet Explorer doesn't work anymore.?
Try a reinstall of Mozilla and Internet Explorer. They generally work fine together. Perhaps a reboot will fix your problem. Also, check your firewall settings.

Try uninstallint Mozilla and see if Internet Explorer works and vice versa.

  • Am I the only one ashamed of what humanity is becoming, and where we're headed?

Everyone is so unintelligent these days, it seems. Women who are pregnant and plan on raising the children don't know most basic grammar skills. How are these people, mothers and fathers alike, supposed to raise intelligent children when they don't know the basics of education themselves? Are they going to teach their kids how to speak in internet or text speak instead of English, or whatever the language of their country may be?

Teenagers who want to become lawyers and/or doctors don't know how to correctly construct a sentence, much less hold an intellectual conversation. Yet, somehow, they think they're capable of holding the responsibilities of the aforementioned careers.

Standards aren't very high, anymore. Businesses seem to feel lucky if they get someone with common sense applying for their openings. How are we supposed to feel safe in this country/world when some professors will pass their college students just to not have to deal with them the following year, knowing that they can do more harm to people than good without enough knowledge to appropriately pass the class?

Am I the only one who feels like, if society's standards don't change soon, we'll all be doomed in the near future?
Am I the only one ashamed of what humanity is becoming, and where we're headed?
    I'm with you there.

Unless something was to drastically change,Which I strongly doubt, we are all in trouble.

Lot of things to blame.Technology for all it's advances has made us a lazy world. At least the modern world.

Actually think we could learn something from primitive type societies as strange as that sounds.
Am I the only one ashamed of what humanity is becoming, and where we're headed?
Well, I find it depressing to think that way. I see what you see and sometimes I wonder if I'm just moving into cranky old womanhood, but I really don't remember people being this illiterate when I was younger. And I'm disgusted with the lack of work ethic, as well.

Since I have learned in my ascending crankiness that life is short and I don't want to spend it depressed, I have trained myself to look for the positive side.

The positive side is that with so many ignorant morons around, I'm way ahead of the game and if I keep my eyes open and think hard enough, I'll find a way to use the advantages I possess over this sea of idiots and see what I can gain.

ADD: I agree with Don. Too much TV in particular, and no, it doesn't sound strange to me that we could learn from the primitive societies. I'd like to see a kid who can text, listen to an ipod and and watch TV a the same time try to build a fire to survive if he had to.

The OR I'm referring to is the State running things %26amp; looking after people and spending money on public services etc.,OR letting society get on with it - encouraging people to run their own businesses, buy their own homes etc., %26amp; central government handing more power back to local councils without so much interference from whitehall - the left or the right basically. This was the dilemma he was outlining that faces every government - what is the answer?

What can I do? at 50?

At 50 I can not come up with anything I want to do for a living!!!?

I am 50years old ,With a HS ed. I worked in the printing Industies all my life for large companys FUJI KODAK and went on to run my own small printing Bus. Well the printing has changed and most printers are now out of business and so am , thanks to changing tech %26amp; the internet. I went out and started my own Handyman Business two years ago and have did just ok (days pay at best) I am very board with being a handyman and find it a real step down. I went to find a new path that I can get a passion for like I did for printing. I am a smart guy but this one has me stumped!!!!!. I cant land a job and know I must work for my self if I have any Hope of making Money. What Can I do HELP !!!!!!!!

I am lookin for a passion in my work + I need some good incone for the next 10 years. I am so so Depressed!!!!!!
What can I do? at 50?
At your age and life experience real estate would be good, or an appraiser for homes.....or what about becoming a loan office.....all of these careers only take a little training....good luck.
What can I do? at 50?
It is very difficult for anyone else to come up with something you can be passionate about as we do not know much about your background and nothing about your interests. Since you were into printing maybe do specialty printing on T-shirts and hats? The handyman stuff could lead to a position with Lowe's or Home Depot - at least in the interim as I doubt you are independently wealthy. If you have enough funds then go back to school and get certified to teach in a tech school.
Wow sounds like my life story I to have always been a printer but last x-mass I shattered both my heals and I just am sick of were the printing business is going, but I asked god to help find me a place crazy but it worked he landed me a job in a high security printing company paying well enough to get me and my family by, I cant tell you what to do but I really do feel for you dont get to depressed cause Ive been there and it just makes it worst put on Mr posotive face and just keep looking and trying to figure out what you need to do. When life throws you curv balls just make the best of it you can find what you need sounds to me more like you would be a great manager for a company just find what it is your looking for and go for it! I know printers see all types of business in fact I think we are one of the fields that knows to much about all types so just look for one that interests you bud and hang in there good luck my friend!
I did this before I was 50 and I still not 50. I like to tell stories as it more personal.

When I was 12 I mowed yards around my house in town. $3 a yard with a push mower, that the going rate then. I worked as a Mechanic, Accountant, and Electronic Tech. Years later moved back home and was not working, but, my wife did. I was thinking one day what I might do for myself. Looked out the window and there the riding lawnmower sit and I thought, I have a weed-eater too. Started mowing yards for locals, about $30-40 depending on the lot size. Word of mouth, I get more the next year and a lady ask if I could thin out the Iris Flowers from a flower bed. I did this and then word of mouth elderly ladies wanted me to do the flower beds. Then a lady show where city hall take bids for mowing and I bid and get that and then it Snow Balled. Got some magnetic signs for my truck and more and more work. Wife quit work to help and we hired Teenagers @ $8 an hour when we needed them and in 3 years we was making money and turning away business. Had Banks, Gas Stations, Schools on a service contract. We buy equipment as needed. Heck, we had the saying; %26quot;We support competition, as a working man is not a thief%26quot; We helped others start their Landscaping Business and were doing OK. Low start up costs and plenty of help when we needed. Had to retire, it was crazy.
Don't worry. Trust the Universe. Just log on to %26quot;www.themoneyworkshop.com%26quot;.
Somebody once told me that there are a million ways to make money. As I drive to and from work each day, I can see that they are right. There are lots of trucks and minivans with business names on the sides that advertise lots of different kinds of businesses. There are lots of different shops offering a variety of services and products.

You need to figure out what you are passionate about before you figure out how to land a career there. I would suggest that you pick up the career book, What Color is My Parachutte. This helps you look at your career and identify the skillsets you have and your interests and passions. There are lots of exercises in there that can help you narrow down an industry or job that is right for you. Then come back with questions.

This is a knowledge-based economy. If you have the right skills and experience, regardless of age, you should be able to find a job. While I am sure that age discrimination does exist, our economy should be getting past that. I think that it was a larger issue years ago when so much of the economy was driven by manual labor (steel mills, quaries, building boats, etc...). Now much of this kind of work has been shifted overseas due to more appealing labor costs. Of course, there is always work that needs to be done here that cannot be offshored.

    Good luck.
I understand exactly how you feel. I am 46 and in the same position now. I was working in the customer service industry for a few years. I was injured while at work and then got fired for it. I had no chance for a law suit because I was with my last employer for less than 3 months. I have been in pain from my injury since and I have no prospects right now. I am at the point that my wife wants me out because of my pain and grumpy moods. No meds or therapy benefit me. I wish I could offer you something but I am at a loss myself. I am unable to secure employment because of my age and injury. If you want to brainstorm, e-mail me.

    GOOD LUCK!
About a week and a half ago I was in the same position as you. I read about people giving great kudos to a web site called BuyMyNoni.com.

I read what it was about and signed up and its been great so far. It does involve direct selling in the true form, it's not MLM like most of the offers I read here. What is really great is that it doesn't cost money to start out and they give you a web site.

I was intrigued why they didn't charge money like so many other opportunities on the Internet so I called them up to ask why it is free. Their answer was simple, normally you buy things that have a value that we are willing to pay for and since the value I put on the business was really up to me and what I do with the opportunity. That was probably the most honest response I have ever gotten from a company.

The product they sell is a health fruit juice drink that people are looking for at the price we sell it for so there is a demand for it. I recommend you take a few minutes and read how it works.
The same type of thing happened to me as a result of the .com bust. I found that because of my experience and contacts, I could consult with telecom companies but it's feast or famine. To take up the slack I found some good reputable affiliate programs online and started them. One of them is in the telecom industry, ( http://ld.net/bizop.cgi?page=bizop_home%26amp;鈥?/a> ) so, it keeps me in touch. The other one is in candies and gifts ( http://www.cajuncountrygifts.com/go.cgi?鈥?/a> ). They have both been around for a while.

Working in marketing, I watched as the printing industry suffered through the introduction of desk top publishing. Some good friends who were Typographers, etc. closed up shop. Perhaps, with your knowledge, taking an %26quot;if you can't lick 'em, join 'em%26quot; approach, you could find an affiliate program selling something that would actually help printers and other people in the industry. The RGB to CMYK translation problem still exists and art directors are still concerned about it. There are a number of articles online. There was a guy in Alabama who developed a set of algoritms that eliminated the problem and he was selling his software to VARs. I lost his name years ago. I can't even remember the preiminent group on the East coast who was invlved in testing things an writing about them, but they know about this guy.

Maybe you have some ideas about what the industry can do to remain competitive now that you've got some hind sight. You could put together seminars, write a book and sell it online, come up with some value added ideas that would help printers compete. There are still a lot of people who can't do desk top publishing. Maybe you could help printers transition to desk top publishing houses and web designers. They usually already have some of these capabilities.

Use your contacts as a springboard to get started.

    I saw
My heart goes out to you.

My dad was a printer until he turned 54. They fired everyone over 50 in 1 day. No one could sue, we live in Georgia. Dad almost lost his home because of it. Too old to get hired, too young for Social security.

Anyway, here's the jobs he tried to get after the layoff:

Express Courier to the printing industry

Working at a sign shop (he had great layout skills!)

Chemical Sales to the printing industry

I hope this helps you even a little. I'll be praying for you.

Should the change be proactive (made before there is a crisis) or reactive (wait until there is a crisis)?

The explosion of growth in the Internet has had a dramatic effect on the need for TCP/IP address space. IPv6 has been proposed as a solution to this problem. However, it is not without cost. Given the changes needed for a new addressing scheme, at what point you recommend that businesses change from the TCP/IP scheme of today to IPv6 or its successor? Consider implementation costs, business continuity, replacement of existing hardware and software, and the time needed for reprogramming in your response.
Should the change be proactive (made before there is a crisis) or reactive (wait until there is a crisis)?
I did not realize there is a crisis without this change. I think they need to first learn about such a crisis before they will actually support it or use it in their business. Just because we have a bomb alert, does not mean we will launch a bomb ourselves before we have confirmed the alert. Businesses are scared to upfront implementation costs for something they do not understand or have yet to learn about. If they are aware of the risks and they have proof of how it can save them, they will certainly invest. However, they will not invest in something unless they know for fact that this proposition might be a vital solution. DRS (Disaster recovery) is a vital part of business solutions. The investment for a product that will promote business continuity is far more important than cost. We have a million programmers applying for jobs in the IT department every week...reprogramming is not a concern for them. Its part of the Developers salary that they already have the resources for, so it will not be an issue. The only issue is whether or not the implementation will be a positive affect for the business and how we can have that approved...thats the only hard part of the entire system. Making it work isnt the problem, getting it approved and initiated is the hard part.
Should the change be proactive (made before there is a crisis) or reactive (wait until there is a crisis)?
    Two answers:

First, once Vista and Longhorn become introduced to the business, an examination of their %26quot;native%26quot; IPv6 should be made. If the software comes as touted (doubtful), the switch might be advantageous.

Second, with a solid private IP addressing scheme the limit of existing public IP addresses should not be a significant issue to any business. The TCO of such a switch is prohibitive without a clearly demonstrable need.

In short, unless new technology makes it VERY attractive, the switch to IPv6 should only be made if you have to.
IPV6 takes into account IPV4 addressing, so readdressing everything isn't necessary.

I hope you get an A on your homework.
