What say you about Changing the way the candidates are chosen (nominated) for each political party.?

I don't know about you, but I think Englands idea of giving the candidates 30 days to campaign is a GREAT idea! This business of campaigning for over a year and a half is crap! Why not let each candidate campaign for 30 days and then have a popular vote by each party like in the general election?

With the mass media and purchase of private commercial air time, not to mention the internet and print media, what real purpose does the conventions, caucuses, straw poles etc. really serve except to pump a lot of money out of supporters pockets, which if there is any left over, the candidates get to keep!!!

Anyway, don't you think there could and should be a less expensive, less tiring and more efficient way to go about selecting a given party's candidate?

yes it does need change and here are my ideals

1. u can only donate to people u can vote for

2. no pac's, corporate, lobbyist, or foreign donations

3. must be us citizen to vote

4. unlimited donations but public list of the donors and how much they have given

5. 6 month campaign cycle

6. no matching federal funds

7. no donations to political parties, the politicians can give a part of there raised funds to their own parties ( cause you cant vote for parties, but for people)

8. reform the electoral college to reflect the votes cast , remove the winner take all system in all states.
