Are there any intelligent, thrustworthy, private investors?

Suppose you're in (software)business for 20 years and invented something that would change the Internet. And suppose leading technicians (Cisco and Juniper!) support your claims. And suppose they (and every other Internet-specialist!!!) indicate you will have at least 25 to 60 million users within the first days (!) after going live! And suppose 61% of those users are all -very- willing to pay 10 dollar, annually!

Suppose all that to be true!

Then suppose that you have everything documented and ready after 6 months of preparation, and need 7 million dollar to actually go ahead with the plans. Finally, suppose you've got 14 professionals available fulltime that are very willing to work 16 hours a day to -actually- change the Internet!

Suppose all of the above is true, but you cannot find an intelligent, private and -thrustworthy!- investor, even though you will be live in 6 months and have a tremendous cash-in within 2 weeks...

Who would you call? Seriously!

Finding a private investor could be difficult, though there are funds that specialize in startup companies. If you're not locked into the notion of private, then you could approach one of the big investment banks (Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Paine Webber, etc.) with your documentation with the idea of making your company public. You can raise the kind of money your talking about with an IPO. 350,000 shares @ $20 per share = 7 million.
