Why Internet Explorer isn't working now?

My computer has AOL as internet provider, but sometimes I have to use Internet Explorer for business needs. However, few days ago some windows update showed up on the taskbar and I just updated since it's from Windows. After that the icon of Internet Explorer changed -it's tiny letter %26quot;e%26quot; with yellow circle around. When I click to open it's blank and tollbar is different. There is no %26quot;back%26quot; and %26quot;forward%26quot; buttons, %26quot;home%26quot; button etc. also I don't have %26quot;File%26quot;, %26quot;Edit%26quot;, %26quot;View%26quot;, %26quot;Favorites%26quot;, %26quot;Tool%26quot; and %26quot;Help%26quot; above tollbar. I want may old internet explorer back. This is such a mess. What to do?

What you have is explorer 7 now all the tools are to the top right and your favorites are are the little gold star on the top left. when you first open explore 7 it will ask you some questions and then start for you. If you want to go back go to the control panel and add and remove and find explore 7 and remove it and it will go back to explorer 6. Explorer 7 is very cool and much safer to use. But the old one is cool too. Hopes this helps
