Space is limited here so this will have to be condensed, but the message should be easy enough to understand. Please do not respond to this unless you are a registered voter and serious about being an active party to changing government.
This would be the foundation of my platform.
Government intervention in our public lives, excessive taxes, and political corruption at state and local levels CAN be stopped with the WILL OF THE PEOPLE standing behind a candidate that will lead the way. YOU would be my most powerful resource to change the way government is managed, dismantle some parts of it, take it AWAY from corporate strongholds, and give it BACK to the people of the United States. I do not believe in lobbyists or special interest groups of any kind. I simply believe in what the MASSES want.
The means to obtain our goals would be simple with the use of the Internet, a phone, and by doing NOTHING! We won鈥檛 have to wait for the end of a term of an elected official to see results. Our goals can be achieved virtually overnight. I will keep the public informed of obstacles and progress through a weekly radio address and web site. Let鈥檚 look at two examples of what can be done about excessive prices and it IS simple regardless of any political or corporate argument you might hear.
PROBLEM: The high cost of fuel.
DEMAND: The public wants the price dropped from $3.00 to $2.00
PUBLIC SOLUTION: Pick three corporate sponsors that sell gas. Let鈥檚 Hess, Shell, and BP for an example. These are CORPORATIONS! Use the Internet and your phone to contact everyone you know and tell them to do NOTHING at these places of business. This won鈥檛 be a one-day boycott not to buy gasoline. This will last until gas prices come down. Don鈥檛 buy gas there. Don鈥檛 stop there for a pack of cigarettes or a loaf of bread. DON鈥橳 GO THERE FOR ANYTHING for AS LONG AS IT TAKES to get gas prices down.
PROBLEM: Frivolous government spending.
DEMAND: The public wants it stopped.
PUBLIC SOLUTION: Email, call, or write your State Representative, Senator, and Congressman and tell them to start cutting their budget, PERIOD. Give them a time frame and demand a WEEKLY progress report. Demand they cut their government salaries in half. Demand they give up their health care benefits that are paid for by the public, policies the public can鈥檛 afford for them selves. Demand a 25% cut in their total budget within 90 days. Don鈥檛 stop sending emails, making calls, or writing letters until the budget is reduced and if you don鈥檛 see results, demand the politician to abdicate them self from their position. Don鈥檛 be afraid to rebel!
Support and elect a candidate that will close the door to special interest groups and take an active part with you in dismantling a government that serves itself instead of the people.

absolutely i agree but this will not get you elected... people are apathetic.... find a famous football player as a running mate... or side with the christians hating on abortions and gays

your goals seem admirable your solutions greatly flawed.
gas prices-so we actually stop buying from three corporations what about the others. if your plan does not address conservation the profits are just going to those we are still buying from and the price of crude stays high due to demand.
demanding elected officials cut spending and report to us or abdicate - how many elected officials answer their phone or check their e-mail? once elected they are almost bullet proof. until you change the system and put in place term limits and an easier system for recalls demanding politicians do anything is a waste of our time.
focus on reform, focus on electing better officals, demand those around you vote, if we as a society fail to act nothing good is going to happen.
i applaud your desire and i hope some day to see some of these changes, but your platform as stated i can not support.
Nope, you do want to bring the power back to the people. But your solutions won't work and you'd probably be assassinated by some corrupt people before you could ever implement it.
