I am a US citizen, but as of recently my friend (also US citizen) suggested we live temporarily, about a year, in Scotland. I do not know the first thing about moving to another country. I've established I can keep all my credit cards and some banks accounts here in the US, but my question is what do I do about a working liscence? I will be operating my own business via internet by then, but I'm not sure how to deal with tax issues. Also, do I need to attain another card (like green card) that allows me temporary residence in Great Britain? I'm sorry if these questions are obvious or stupid, but I really don't know how to go about preparing! Thank you!
