Do these horoscope really mean anything or the astrologers just play with words to please people for business?
Newspaper Astrology columns are basically a bit of fun. They mean very little -- and naturally -- if they are positive they can give people a bit of a fillip. If they are admonishing or encouraging you to be wary of something -- then the odds are that a certain proportion of the particular Sun Sign readers will actually relate that to something in the lives... BUT overall they mean very little IF anything.
HOWEVER...a proper Astrological reading, derived from the creation of your Natal chart is another thing.
Whilst it is barmy to really set much store by a paragraph of Astrological waffle in a newspaper which applies to about one twelfth of the population (in the UK, say almost 5million people) -- an Astrological reading for you as a person born on a particular day, in a particular place, at a particular time -- can provide an uncanny and interesting insight into your persona and into certain aspects of your life, and the way you 'live ' it.
A true Astrological and personal reading can be quite enlightening, and make you think about how and why you do things in a certain way. I can only say that the 'coincidences' in a personal chart and reading are often too many to be 'chance' and given the limits of 'space and time' (here on Yahoo Answers) I cannot 'justify' why there is more of a 'scientific basis' to the personal insights provided by Astrology than you might think.
Astrology being used to 'predict' the future is more questionable -- BUT insofar as you, as a person born when the Sun, Moon and Planets were in a unique position relative to where you were when you emerged into the world, may be provided with insights into your past and present -- so the future position of the planets, and your Astrological predisposition just might provide some useful 'information' about what sort of 'general period' you may be going to go through -- which could help with effective decision making.
So -- do not dismiss the 'real' Astrology just because the newspaper 'fun' columns are just a piece of nonsense!

They use clever phrasing that allows people to read into things really its just nonsense
People in love tend to go for this stuff but, when you think about it, there are so many millions of people with the same birth sign that they are bound to strike lucky.
I personally think that astrology is a joke, but there are some strange cases where they happen to b completely correct about your day. I wouldn't look into it that much though because then if u start to believe that stuff then u try to avoid things that it says to avoid, and really none of that really ends up being true any ways. The only time they get that stuff right is by luck. I would suggest not to pay attention to it.
I think the positions of the stars among many other things do affect who were are and who we become. But it's not everything. They merely influence us.
Horoscopes and fortune tellers are always very general, so it's easy to find a connection from what they're saying to you're own life. Because the stars do influence our lives, what they say can sound very tempting to believe, but don't. Just for your own well being, don't believe them.
It's impossible for one individual to understand truly how the stars affected us, and those who have the slimmest understanding will overexaggerate their talents for money.
So my advise is to not pay attention. =)
Astrology is an excellent use of ambiguous English and very little else.

I met a girl in my teenage years who claimed her mother was psychis etc. Cut to the chase, I met her one evening and she started telling me things about my family etc. that no-one outside would know. For weeks I believed that she really could %26quot;see%26quot; things.
One day after school I was having a coffee with my mum and as usual she was prying into my social life (girls n that) I told her I was seeing this girl whos mother was a psychic and told her about the things she,d told me. %26quot; Psychic my @rse..! %26quot; was the reply. She had been all through school with my mum and they were still friends but I didnt know. I felt like a friggin idiot, but I learned a lesson.
I think the astrologers are fake and they do all this for money.
If we could know about our future than the world would have been something different from what it is today.
This is all rubbish, do not believe all this, if the astrologers could know about the future than they would have been something else than a people pleaser!
Horoscope writers are like horse racing tipsters. You can't read or believe them all. It's up to you to pick a couple and stick with them through thick and thin. Watch out for red buses tomorrow
yes the horoscope really mean something related to humans life. if moon can create tides on earth, that means the planet is having some afffect on ocean, it can definitely affect humans life also.true astrologer never play with anyones life.
really learned astrologer predicts 90 percent correct. rest 10percentage is on god.
