Internet programming or database admin?

I am trying to determine which of these career paths has better potential in terms of future growth and job availability. I am thinking of taking a career certificate course in community college and need some guidance before I make my decision. I am in my early thirties and have discovered I need a career change. It would be great if someone could also tell me what it's like to work in these professions.



My background is in business administration and have been working in accounting for the last 3 years but this is not what I want to do. Appreciate your help!

Agreed, you'll find more work and better opportunities as a DBA than a PHP programmer or the like.

If I was in your shoes, I would get training in database administration. With your accounting knowledge, you would make a better candidate for data-centered jobs.
