In a domain runn
ing Windows' Small Business Server Backoffice (NT 4.0), I reinstalled a workstation (XP Pro) because
it was infected with viruses, but after the workstation has been installed with XP Pro and added to the domain with the same computer name (via system properties-%26gt;change), it would not allow Inter
net access when logged in with the user's account, but it allowed internet access when logged in using other user's account, Can anyone advice how I can fix this? The TCP/IP gateway address for the network is configured to use the
server's IP, so i'm thinking that the server is restricting internet access for this user, even thought internet access has been granted for this user under 'more tasks' tab
On the server running Small Business server Backoffice, (NT 4.0), The icons located under SBS Console's 'tasks' Tab does not show up, but the icons under 'more tasks' task does show up.
No internet access for SBS workstation?
1) Change the gateway address to the address of the internet gateway if the server isn't the gateway.
2) Check policies - that workstation may be blocked from the internet by some policy.
3) Check the workstation's IP address - that address may be blocked from the internet, or it may not have specific permission to access the internet.
