Any experience breaking a satellite internet contract?

My friends live out in the country, and they got roped into a long contract with the expensive Hughes satellite company (the only fast access internet they could get out there, as AT and T or cable was not available).

They are now moving to a county where that service is not available.

Has anyone ever successfully had early cancellation with them? They want to charge them for the rest of the contract, which is like $100 per month for over a year. The only thing they can think to do is to try to get someone else to assume the contract (like me, whose cable internet deal is getting ready to expire soon, but I don't like contracts of any kind).

My idea is, keep going higher up and talk to someone. After all, they are newlyweds and moved closer to his job. Their new county they will be living in, Hughes is not available in that county. That got me out of my cable internet contract in the past, after much business letter writing. After all, you shouldn't be expected to pay for something that you cannot use because of where you move, if services are not available there; that's different than just changing your mind on a whim, right?

Hughes has the right to demand their money, since the contract was signed.

Are you positive Hughes is not available were they moved? Because Hughes is available everywhere in the Main land USA, regardless of location. You just have to be able too see the sky. So if they tell hughes that, hughes will not believe them, because it is available everywhere.
