What do you think of the FCC trying to regulate the Internet?
In most places, consumers have only one option for broadband service, so switching providers isn't really an option. Much like phone service, internet service needs to be neutral so that everyone can access the entire internet. Not that long ago AT%26amp;T fought tooth and nail against letting people buy their own telephones or letting people plug modems into their phone lines. The internet is becoming just as essential for life as telephone service and they should regulated similarly.
Edit:
Do you really think that we would be better off with unregulated telephone? You have to lease your phone, can't connect a modem to the line, pay ridiculously high rates, and have no other options? Government regulation has made telephone service what it is today and moreover increased competition at the same time. Internet regulation will likewise ensure that the internet is available as a public utility.
