- in times of unforeseen obstacles like delays and missing the flight
- optimizing the travel route and connections (you can do it by yourself but professional and knowledgeable person will do it faster and maybe better)
- contacting with human (talk over the phone or meet in person) rather than with machine (website) is preferred by some people
